49°N respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect the details you choose to send: your name, email address, practice or organization, and your message. We do not ask for, and you should not send, any patient or health information.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, to keep the site secure and running.
How we use it
We use the information you send only to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide our services. We do not sell, rent or share your information for marketing.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. We do not follow you across other websites. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads, as with any web request.
Where it is stored
This website and its contact form are hosted by Netlify, a service based in the United States. Messages you send through the form are stored by Netlify and forwarded to our email. Information stored outside Canada may be subject to the laws of that country.
How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and uses modern browser security settings. Access to form submissions and to our accounts is protected with strong passwords and two-step verification.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business records, then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@49degreesnorth.ca.
