Step 1 of 8 · Plan

Plan your practice

Turn an idea into a clear plan before money gets spent.

  • Practice models and ownership structure
  • Location and space assessment
  • Budget, timeline and launch roadmap
  • Payment models and billing set-up

Step 2 of 8 · Build

Build the foundation

The physical and technical groundwork everything else runs on.

  • Clinical and administrative space planning
  • Internet, networks, phones and hardware
  • Suppliers, contractors and service providers
  • Technology timelines that run alongside construction

Step 3 of 8 · Connect

EMR & provincial systems

Independent EMR choice and every BC system your clinic needs, started early so nothing waits until opening.

  • Independent EMR selection, and negotiation on your behalf
  • EMR setup, templates and optimization
  • Excelleris lab results, CareConnect, PharmaNet, PAS and OneHealthID
  • PAS set-up to grow your patient panel: endorsing staff, granting and managing access
  • Integrations and provincial digital health services
  • Privacy and security assessments, including privacy impact assessments

Step 4 of 8 · Staff

Team & workflows

The right people, with roles and workflows that make sense from the first day.

  • Practitioner recruitment support
  • MOA roles, workflows and training
  • Clinic policies and procedures
  • Onboarding for new team members

Step 5 of 8 · Launch

Website & patient access

Make it easy for patients and referring physicians to find you, book and arrive ready.

  • Website design and development
  • SEO and online visibility
  • Online booking, digital intake and forms
  • Self check-in and patient communication

Step 6 of 8 · AI

AI & clinical tools

What is worth adopting, tested in real clinics before you commit.

  • AI scribe evaluation, trials and rollout
  • Clinical decision and diagnostic support tools
  • Administrative automation
  • Privacy reviews and peer-led adoption

Step 7 of 8 · Improve

Operations & improvement

Smoother days for practitioners, front-desk teams and patients.

  • Appointment access and patient flow
  • Referral intake, triage and Pathways listings
  • Billing support, including rejected claims, through an experienced billing person we arrange
  • Front-desk bottlenecks and admin load
  • Vendor troubleshooting and support

Step 8 of 8 · Grow

Growth & expansion

Plan the next stage with capacity, people and services in view. In many BC communities, every new practitioner and every filled panel means more people with a family doctor.

  • Capacity and room utilization
  • Filling your patient panel through PAS, and tracking how new patients are reaching you
  • New services and programs
  • Recruiting practitioners to fill empty rooms, with a practice profile that stands out
  • Next-stage and multi-site planning

Ways to work with us

The full journey

From first idea to opening day and beyond, with one lead the whole way.

Practice check-up

A focused assessment of how your clinic runs today, with a clear, prioritized action plan.

Ongoing support

Monthly support after launch, with a familiar person to call when systems, vendors or workflows need attention.

How long does it take?

Every clinic starts from a different place, with different resources, so there is no standard timeline. Instead, we map yours together in a first conversation. These are the things that shape it most:

Find your coordinates
  • Where you're starting. An idea, a lease, a build underway or an established practice.
  • Team size. More practitioners and staff means more setup, onboarding and training.
  • Your EMR situation. A new EMR, or a switch with data migration, takes longer than tuning one that works.
  • Provincial and vendor lead times. Enrolments, lab connections, internet and phone installs run on others' schedules, so we start them early.
  • Your resources. Budget and how much time your team can give the project each week.

Get ahead of opening day

Don't wait for the drywall to dry.

Many new clinics wait until construction is finished before starting on technology, then lose weeks waiting on EMR setup, Excelleris lab results, CareConnect, PharmaNet and provincial enrolments. Much of that can run in parallel with the build. We start early, so your systems are connected and tested when the doors open.

Outside our core, such as specialized clinical workflows or health authority matters, we know who handles that work every day and point you to the right people and services.

Common questions

Still wondering about something? Ask us directly.

How much does it cost?

Every clinic needs something different, so we scope each project after a first conversation. You get a clear proposal and quote before any work starts.

Are you paid by vendors?

No. We are not partnered with any vendor and we never accept commissions, referral fees or incentives. Our only client is you.

Which EMRs do you work with?

We are EMR-independent and work with the systems commonly used in BC clinics. If you are choosing or switching, we compare options against how your clinic actually works.

We're a small clinic. Is this for us?

Yes. Many projects are a single practitioner or a small team. Smaller clinics often benefit most, because there is no IT department to lean on.

We only need help with one thing.

That is fine. Start with the piece you need, whether that is an EMR question, a website or a front-desk workflow. The full journey is there if you want it later.

Do you replace our IT provider?

No. We work alongside your IT provider and vendors, coordinate between them, and help you find one if you don't have one.

Can you help with billing?

Yes. We can arrange an experienced billing person to handle your regular billing and follow up on rejected claims, so revenue doesn't slip through the cracks.

Can you help with grants, funding and free supports?

Free help is available, depending on your practice type. We'll point you to the right contact, and make sure your plans and systems line up with what you apply for.

  • Physicians: Doctors of BC, including its Practice Support Program (PSP) and Doctors Technology Office (DTO)
  • Family practices: your local Division of Family Practice and Primary Care Network
  • Specialists: the Specialist Services Committee
  • Dental, pharmacy and allied health: your professional association
  • Any clinic: Small Business BC, for general business funding and advice
What about health authority questions?

We know the landscape and who handles what, and point you to the right people, so you're not navigating it alone.

Do you offer ongoing support after launch?

Yes. Some clinics keep us on for ongoing monthly support: a familiar person to call when systems, vendors or workflows need attention.

Do you only work in BC?

BC is home and where our provincial expertise is deepest. We also support clinics elsewhere in Canada.
